Carnival Fundraiser to Benefit PCC Adult Education Students
April 26, 2012
Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College Adult Education’s Student Leadership Council will be hosting a fun-filled carnival fundraiser on Saturday, April 28.
The family event will feature children activities, music, great food and more.
“Hosting a carnival is a great way to bring the community together to have fun and raise money for a great cause -- helping people better their lives,” said Ana Chavarin, member of El Pueblo Liberty Adult Learning Center’s Student Leadership Council.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support PCC Adult Education students and programs. More than 5,000 students are currently enrolled in PCC's Adult Education programs. They come from diverse backgrounds and range in age from 16 to 86.
“This event is much more than a fundraiser,” said Charles Swanson, PCC Adult Education Instructor. “Students learn the value of being an active participant in their community and they are able to apply their leadership skills while planning the event.”
