PCC Receives Highest Honor for Annual Financial Report – for 19th Straight Year

Tucson, AZ – For the 19th consecutive year, Pima Community College has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for excellence in financial reporting.
Pima received the GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the College’s Fiscal Year 2010 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
“This prestigious award is testament to the hard work and diligence of our finance team. We take a great deal of pride in the quality of our annual financial reports,” said Dr. David Bea, Executive Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.
The GFOA is a non-profit professional association based in Chicago and Washington, D.C. It serves approximately 17,500 finance professionals. GFOA’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Program has been promoting the preparation of high-quality financial reports since 1945 and has played a major role in improving the quality of financial reporting.
