Earth Science Day at PCC Northwest Campus
October 4, 2011
Tucson, AZ -- More than 60 community groups and organizations will participate later this month in Earth Science Day at Pima Community College’s Northwest Campus.
“Earth Science Day is a great opportunity to encourage students to explore the natural world and learn about the geosciences,” said Dr. Alex Kajstura, president of the Northwest Campus. “Students will not only get the chance to learn about astronomy, climatology, geology and environment protection, but they will be able to taste food cooked in a solar oven and check out the accuracy of the giant campus sundial.”
Earth Science Day is free and open to the public.
