New Development Manager -- PCC Foundation and Alumni Association

Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College Foundation and Alumni Association has a new Development Manager, Alma Yubeta, M.Ed. Alma previously served as the Executive Assistant to the campus president at Pima’s Desert Vista Campus. Prior to that, she served as the Administrative Services Officer II/Executive Assistant for the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
As the Development Manager, Alma identifies and develops solicitation strategies to establish prospective donors and funding sources, prepares proposals, and provides assistance to donors in establishing scholarships. In addition, she supports the Alumni Association by overseeing the programs and activities to foster alumni engagement.
Alma is very involved in the community and has received numerous awards and recognitions for her volunteer efforts. She received numerous LULAC Community Service Awards, including the LULAC State Woman of the Year Award and was inducted into LULAC’s National Women’s Hall of Fame. She has received two Outstanding Community Service Awards from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a City of Tucson Citizen and Neighborhood Services Award, Certificates of Appreciation and Coins from the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, an Outstanding Community College Alumni Award, and the National Latino Children’s Institute Corazón de mi Vida Project Award. In 1998, she was inducted into the International Who’s Who of Professionals.
