College Hosts Annual Japanese Speech Contest

Pima Community College will host Tucson's 8th Annual Japanese Speech Contest.  The event allows students of Japanese language at all skill levels an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities. It also encourages awareness of Japanese culture with demonstrations, exhibitions and audience participation activities.

The event will take place Saturday, April 24, 2010 at PCC’s Northwest Campus, 7600 N. Shannon Road, from noon to 5 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Japanese refreshments will be served.

There will be demonstrations of Kyuu-Do (Japanese archery), Taiko (Japanese drumming), Aikido (martial arts) and the Japanese tea ceremony.
