College Hosts District 27 and 30 Debates
July 21, 2008Pima Community College will host the second in a series of candidate debates in advance of the September primary elections. The debates are sponsored by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. The debate on Tuesday, July 22 will feature Democratic Party candidates for the two House of Representative seats from District 27. Those candidates include John Kromko and incumbents Olivia Cajero Bedford and Phil Lopes. The final primary election debate on Thursday, July 24 will feature Republic Party candidates for the House seats in District 30. Those candidates include Frank Antenori, Sharon Collins, David Gowan and Doug Sposito. Each debate will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the College’s Community Room. The Community Room is located at the College’s District offices, 4509 E. Broadway Blvd. Christopher Conover, reporter and political expert for KUAT’s Arizona Illustrated, will serve as moderator.
