What does it mean to audit a course?
It means participating in the course for further knowledge and understanding without enrolling for credit.
How do I register to audit a course?
Please refer to the Auditing Classes section of the web site for information.
How do I obtain the faculty signature to audit a course? Am I allowed to attend the first class session?
Try to get the instructor's signature before the first class. Academic department offices and Pima staff can help. Class attendance before completing registration is at the instructor's discretion. Instructors also determine how many (if any) students can audit their courses.
Is there a limit to the number of courses I can audit?
No.
Can I change my audit registration to a credit course?
You may change from an audit registration to a credit course during the drop/add period.
Can I change my credit course to audit registration?
No.
