Student Complaint Processes

Pima Community College in its goal to provide quality instruction and service, provides students access to appropriate College staff and administration to resolve questions and concerns about PCC staff, policies, procedures,or other actions or inactions of the College. Students are strongly encouraged to resolve any concern by talking with the individual and his/her supervisor if necessary.

If the student does not agree with the initial discussion and suggested resolution, the student may file a written complaint.  A complaint is a concern that a policy or procedure of the College has been incorrectly or unfairly applied, or a charge against a person’s behavior.  A student has recourse through complaint procedures.

The student may contact either an Academic Dean, Vice President of Instruction or Vice President of Student Development to proceed with a written complaint.

Complaint Processes and Deadlines

Working day means normal College business day, not including Saturday, Sunday, any officially recognized College employee holiday, or any day the College is closed.  The College’s regular hours of operation: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Stated timelines may be modified by mutual agreement.

Please note:  Academic or occupational programs that are either accredited or approved by an external entity may have policies or procedures that are different or more restrictive than those of the College. These policies or procedures will supersede any conflicting College policies or procedures.
