Overview
The Informal Complaint Process
A student with a complaint -- a concern that a policy or procedure of the College has been incorrectly or unfairly applied in his/her particular case, or a formal charge against a person’s behavior -- has recourse through complaint procedures. In most instances, complaints can be resolved through an informal process beginning with talking to the individual and his/her supervisor if necessary.

The Formal Complaint Process
If you have followed the Informal Complaint Process but the issue has not been resolved, you may file a formal complaint in writing with the appropriate campus administrator.

Equal Opportunity Policy and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Pima Community College has a policy that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age or on the basis of membership as set forth in USERRA, or any other basis which is proscribed by law in the administration of, and access to, its programs, services, and facilities. The policy applies to students, employees, and applicants for employment.
Under the ADA, the College provides reasonable accommodations to qualified students and employees and equal access to the public.
The College has procedures to address complaints by students alleging violations of the ADA. In addition, the College has procedures to address complaints by students or employees alleging violations of non-discrimination laws. Additional Processes
Pima Community College desires to resolve student grievances, complaints and concerns in an expeditious, fair and amicable manner. Students who desire to resolve a grievance should follow the College's Student Complaint Procedure as outlined in this section of the website.
However, if an issue cannot be resolved internally, you may file a complaint with your State. Pima Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
