Former PCC pitcher selected in MLB draft

Tucson, AZ – Another former Pima baseball pitcher was chosen in the MLB draft on Wednesday.

Robert Ravago (Pueblo HS), who pitched for the Aztecs in the 2010 and 2011 seasons, was selected as the 677 pick in the 22nd round by the Miami Marlins. Ravago pitched for Arizona State this year earning a 4-1 record with a 2.56 ERA.

In Ravago's sophomore season with the Aztecs, he finished 1-0 with a 1.66 ERA with 27 strikeouts and 38.0 innings pitched.
