Aztec Athletics Hall of Fame


DVD'S of Pima's Hall of Fame Event on April 5th are now available for purchase from the Athletics Department.  Please bring $10.00 cash or a check made payable to "PCC Athletics" to the WC Gymnasium, 2nd floor, Jo-Ann Cattaneo.  Call 206-6005 to arrange a date/time for purchase.  DVD's can also be mailed after receipt of check.  Purchase is not tax deductible.

Pima Community College plans to have the second induction ceremony into the Aztecs Athletics Hall of Fame in spring of 2015.

Pima fields 16 intercollegiate sports teams for men and women. Teams participate in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) and are part of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Hall of Fame inductions may be made in five categories: Coach, Athlete, Team, Administrator and Service.

Anyone may nominate an individual to the Hall of Fame by completing a Nomination Form. Once an individual is nominated, the nominee becomes a standing nominee. Nominations will be accepted in Oct. 2014. Nominations will be considered based on the following criteria:

Aztecs Athletics Hall of Fame Nomination Criteria


  • One season of PCC competition required
  • Preferred minimum of five (5) years since last played for PCC
  • Good academic standing during enrollment at PCC
  • Demonstrated outstanding performance and contributed to the success of the athletics program while at PCC
  • Is of good character and citizenship; positive role model
  • Special considerations will be given to any athlete:
    • who was named First Team, All-American, National Champion, etc.
    • who set a school, NJCAA, world or other record, who competed in an Olympic games or who succeeded as a professional athlete
    • who led the nation in a recognized statistical category


  • Preferred minimum five (5) years of service at PCC
  • No waiting period required for eligibility
  • During tenure, compiled a winning program while also embodying the college and athletics department mission statements
  • Contributed to the future success of the athletes competing under his/her leadership
  • Is of good character and citizenship; positive role model


  • Compiled a significant record over a season
  • Qualified for post-season play
  • Special consideration will be given to any team that:
    • won a Conference, Region or National Championship
    • qualified for an NJCAA National Championship


  • Preferred minimum of five (5) years of service at PCC
  • Preferred minimum five (5) years since last worked for PCC
  • Provided superior leadership and service to the athletic program
  • Made special contribution to the growth/community acceptance of the athletics program
  • Is of good character and citizenship; positive role model


  • Any support staff or community member who has contributed significantly to the advancement of the PCC athletics program.
  • A past athlete/athletics program member who has demonstrated community service during or after his/her play or service to PCC
  • Is of good character and citizenship; positive role model

Nominations close at 5 p.m., Oct. 31, 2014. Once the Hall of Fame Committee has made its selections, it will notify those selected. The second Hall of Fame class will be inducted during a ceremony in spring 2015. Details are to be announced.
