  6. Campus Presidents conduct and coordinate interviews for lateral transfers following the steps identified in Article VIII of the Faculty Personnel Policy Statement by the second work week in October.
  7. Campus Presidents identify lateral transfers and inform District HR by October 15.

  9. One more lateral transfer process is conducted if necessary including sharing faculty position announcements with campus faculty and administrators by October 23.
  10. Campus Presidents finalize all lateral transfers and send to District HR by October 28.
  11. If following the transfer process a resulting vacancy in the same discipline with a different emphasis than the initial position announcement is approved for recruitment, a revised announcement will be forwarded to faculty for their attention as specified in Article IIIA of the Faculty Personnel Policy Statement.

  19. Campus Presidents must attend teaching demonstrations, conduct final interviews and meet with the advisory committee to review the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate by April 30.  The President may include other administrators in the final interview.
  20. Campus Presidents will identify a candidate to move forward to the Chancellor for final approval by May 15.
  21. Campus Presidents will notify the Chancellor and the Advisory Committee if a search has failed to identify a qualified applicant by May 15.
  22. If a search has failed to identify a qualified candidate, a new search will begin the following fall and follow the same process if the position is again authorized in the faculty FTE allocations process.
